Hope Bettis's Profile

My name is Hope Bettis. I was originally born and raised in New Orleans, LA. I had lived there all my life until this little bitty Hurricane named Katrina blew me to the great state of Georgia. I went to an all-girls Catholic high school and attended college in La. I was previously a Senior Claims Examiner for a Third-Party Administrator for 29 years. I worked remotely so when I came to Ga. I got to keep my insurance job.

I was uneasy about moving to Ga. I had always lived in La. I actually cried when I got my Ga. Driver’s License. I have to say I have been here 17 years and I have grown so much personally and professionally.  One day the company I worked for decided I needed to go work back in the office in La. I could not uproot my mother (she is 81) and sustain 2 households so I turned in my notice and got my Real Estate license. My first transaction was a big one and thanks to Patti Loveless and her mentor program it went off without a hitch. I am so glad I made the change to S&S Homes Realty, LLC; I feel a connection here.

Since I have been here in Georgia, I have jumped head first into charity work. My husband is a Mason and a Shriner so naturally I work alongside him to help the children of the Shriners’ Hospitals. My ladies’ group is called The Daughters of the Nile and I am the queen this year. It has been an honor to lead these ladies here in Atlanta. The Daughters have raised over 70 million dollars for the 22 hospitals here in the US, Canada and Mexico.  I am also a big supporter of the Wreaths Across America. They provide wreaths for the veterans who are interred at the National Cemeteries across the US. My father is in the VA Cemetery in Biloxi MS, so I often make trips back home to participate with this amazing group.

My future plans are to get my Fl license and hit the ground running there also.

My husband Tim and I work as a team. I do all the paperwork and he does the dirty stuff (signs, uncomfortable conversations, etc). We have been working together since 2019 and look forward to many years working together.  I like to treat people the way I would want to be treated, so if you need help anytime, I am just a call or text away. My clients are amazed that I will answer the phone or text after 8pm.
