Tommy Southern is the 2nd of 4 sons and grew up in the New Hope area of Paulding County. Fun little fact: W.C. Abney was the principal when he attended New Hope Elementary and Rose Hornsby was one of his teachers. His family moved to East Cobb when he was in middle school and he later graduated from Wheeler High School. Tommy started working with his dad in carpentry when he was 13 years old. Following in his dad’s footsteps he continued carpentry and became a builder. Eventually he and his older brother went into business together and that was the beginning of S&S Homes. Tommy has built over 500 homes in the past 30 years in Carroll, Paulding, and Polk Counties. He is the proud father of 1 daughter, Amanda who is living her best life in Florida and 1 son, Kyle who is currently serving our Country in the Army in S. Korea. He has 4 bonus sons and 2 daughters in law that he loves as his own. Tommy is the proud Peepaw of 6 granddaughters and 1 Angel grandson. In his spare time, he loves fishing, gardening, cooking/grilling/smoking, and spending time with his wife Dawn. Together, they love to go on spur of the moment adventures. Tommy got his Real Estate License in 2011, between Real Estate and Building he stays very busy.
